DEPENDENT TEAMS

Individuals have their own roles and work under the close supervision of a manager in charge, who sets the agenda, priorities and rules for the team.

The team looks to the manager to provide work assignments, solve problems, and makes most decisions.

 

INDEPENDENT TEAMS

Like a dependent team, this team is composed of individual team members who have their own roles.

Unlike a dependent team however, the manager is not as controlling

Instead, team members work on their own tasks with only general direction from the manager.

INTERDEPENDENT TEAMS

Members of an interdependent team rely on each other to get work done. 

The modus operandi is to position team members so they can each do what he or she does best.

They focus on each person’s talents and strengths and manage around his or her  weaknesses.
